[SOLVED] Why The Color Group Doesn't Apply In All Areas Of The Forum?
I notice that my nick has two colors in different places of my forum:
I know that the #dd2222 color is default to Administrators; the #802560 color is my own color, I've changed on ACP:
So I don't know why my own color doesn't display in my nick

Re: Why The Color Group Doesn't Apply In All Areas Of The Forum?
Once again as per the other post, I believe it is a cache issue.
On a WAMP server, I built a website last year and I still have it up and operational. Sometimes I get color group on main index page and other days I do not. I do notice It is usually always cache related. I think it is annoying but it happens. Why I am not quite sure.

Yup, it sounds like a cache issue indeed. We should fix it, but I'd need a way to replicate the bug first.

I have a genuine hard time replicating it as well. One day I have colors and the next day every username is the exact same color on the index. Then on the view topics page, all colors work as they should but not correctly in the footer legend and stuff like that. It is odd to say the least.

Re: Why The Color Group Doesn't Apply In All Areas Of The Forum?
Some sections are cached for minutes, others for hours, others for days... others until next post!
Without cache, Icy Phoenix couldn't be so fast... so cache is important.
Unfortunately for some reasons (some due to combinations of factors and plugins) it's not easy to reset only those cache files which should get updated, and to avoid extra charge, I have tried over time to only reset those really needed files.
Usually colors issues occurs when some colors assignments are not done properly, or because of some other issues with some database fields where those fields are stored (for example posting users also have their colors stored in the forums and topics table to speed up page loading).
By using DB maintenance functions for posts tables you should be able to fix almost everything.
