In some PHPBB-board I saw a different appearence of the messenger-icons (icq, msn, aim etc). They show you the current status of the user (online, offline) and when you click on it, it give you the option to directly contact the user with the approptiate messenger.

Don't know the name of this hack, but it would be nice to integrate something like this into icy.

I imagine it like this:

In the profile, the user can enter his messenger-infos and select wether he wants to show his status or not.

When looking at the profile or a posting, others users can click e.g. on the icq-icon. A new Windows pops up with options like 'show the icq-member page' or'add user to your contacts'
