Post Upgrading 1.0.14.14->1.1.0.15

Hi to all.

1) I would like to know how modify CMod when a Windows host is used. Aruba said to have any solution to do it, and only way to make IP working is in moving it in Public forder, but cMods cant be changed in any way, so fresh installation/upgrading can't be done exactly as you wrote in docs.

2) I would like also to know if, upgrading IP,  old includes/def_themes.php, includes/def_tree.php, includes/def_words.php and htaccess have to be rewrite upon new files.

last but not least, I tried to backup old IP database, make a fresh installation and restore old database over new one, but IP dosent works.

who may help me in make clear that points?

thank you very much for help

solved, thank you. It was unclear if def_* files  need to be orverwritted. After that I started with a blank page, modifing function_categories_hierarchy (// define("cache_tree, tryue) IP starded.

Let me suggest to write better installation/upgrade procedure, so you will no waste your ytime in replyind same questions!

Sorry, but I don't agree.

In case of upgrades from 1.0.9.9 or above, instructions states as follow:

Quote:
10. Remove the following folders (make sure you don't have in those folders some files you may need for some mods you have installed, but in any case you should have a backup Backup Rules!):

    * adm
    * includes (all but includes/def_themes.php, includes/def_tree.php and includes/def_words.php)
    * language
    * templates

11. Remove all files but config.php in your Icy Phoenix root (make sure you don't have some files you may need for some mods you have installed, but in any case you should have a backup Backup Rules!).

12. Upload all Icy Phoenix files (all but config.php, includes/def_themes.php, includes/def_tree.php and includes/def_words.php) in the same folder where Icy Phoenix was installed and running. Pay attention that all older files eventually still there must be replaced by new ones.

As you can see this clearly states to remove everything but SOME FILES... and to upload everything but SOME FILES... where in SOME FILES def_*.* are included.
