May I Have Some Tutorial To Install Plugins?

Subject: May I Have Some Tutorial To Install Plugins?
Hi, God bless you! :)

I'm trying to install donation and sudoku plugins in my forum; but it's very confuse to me.

  • If I upload to FTP the whole package (i.e. ip_plugin_sudoku_20160604_100) with all files including, the ACP doesn't recognize the plugin; just not appears.
  • If I choose only files from ip_root (as the instructions says), it's the same problem: doesn't appear.
  • If I upload from next and next file, sometimes plugin appears in the ACP, but it doesn't install, it's impossible.

I have no idea how can I install the plugins. Any suggestion?

I upload plugins to plugin folder of FTP.

Hi,

You want to upload ip_root's contents to your root folder.

That means if the sudoku plugins has

ip_root/sudoku.php

You want sudoku.php in your forum root.

That's why there's a

ip_root/plugins/sudoku

Filezilla will add the directory to the /plugins/ path

I tried to install sudoku and chat using two different ways, but none works.

I uploaded two plugins in two differents ways: one from IP Root folder and the other from the plugin itself:

plugins_1

But appears just one in ACP, the Sudoku Plugin.

plugins_2

But even the sudoku plugin is in the ACP, it's impossible to install it, because I click "install":

plugins_3

But the plugin still uninstall:

plugins_4

:?:

So what it's the correct way to install a plugin?

Which IP version do you have? The one from here or from GIT?
The GIT version has a bug, but I fixed it on my side, MG should get the fixes soon:

No, I do not mean the plugin.

I mean Icy Phoenix itself. Where did you download it?

We have updated plugins system and there are still some bugs, plus it seems you are not running latest stable release (from what I can see).

We'll point you to the right package as soon as we fix everything on GITHUB.
