I know it was released tracker traker v. 5.0.3, but.... How I can upgrade it from 4.1.8 to 5.0.3 in my xs forum? If I download the file from cback.de, it's fully compatible?
thanks in advance

don't forget to uninstall ctracker v.4 fully
and please don't create similar themes

What I really wanna know is if Cracker Traker 5.0.3 can be installed on PHPBB xs , or it's just for Phpbb.

This site is running CT 5.0.3 since the day after it has been released...

I strongly discourage anyone installing this on phpBB XS, since it may lock your site. If your PHP knowledge is quite good you may have a try... but you have been warned.

I won't help anybody in installing CT5 in phpBB XS.

CT4 is working fine in XS and if you have all patches installed your site should be secure from know holes. There is no hurry to upgrade to CT5.

The new project will have CT5 installed.

I write this again just to make sure you are not messing up your sites: CT5 requires some good PHP and phpBB skills to be installed on phpBB XS... I don't have the time to help you in installing this and to solve all the problems you may have. If you really want to do it, do it at your own risk.

Maybe you didn't read carefully my post.

I won't provide any phpBB XS update which is not a SECURITY FIX or a REALLY IMPORTANT BUG FIX.

Anyone may try doing it... but I won't help anyone in this task, because I don't have the time to do it and because in my opinion it is not necessary.

Sorry to put thing in this way, but: if you don't feel safe with XS and CT4, switch to another project.

This is open source and I'm trying to do my best in creating a new project and supporting users with XS even if I left XS... and I'm feeling tremendously discouraged when I have to waste time with unuseful/unnecessary things.

This request has been posted in several ways: MSN, PM, private sections, public sections, email... I really cannot accept this anymore... why are you feeling so unsecured? Has your site being hacked with XS 058b? If yes, are you sure that CT5 would have prevented this?

The answer is no... because even if XS 058 would have had CT5 your site would have been hacked anyway... trust me... the known security holes are CT independent. CT5 helps in some other ways... helps either to identify some unsafe files... but no kind of protection against the old known security holes.

Please stop asking for CT5 upgrades or I should take serious measures against this.
