Just straight to the pic:

As you see, I set some colors to different levels of users, but surprise came when newcomers still shows the default link color (dark blue) instead the ivory (light yellow) one for the active users. Is this a know issue of Icy Phoenix? It's rare because when we clear cache the colour turns to the right one, but I don't think that were the right solution (clearing cache each time a new user register himself)...

I believe you said you were using IP .27c in your other topic.

In the beta and RC1 versions, CRON can take care of that for you because it can be set to clear cache and optimize tables every so often.

With .27c, I used to have the same problem you did. I did notice after one day of the user being registered and after I opened a new browser window, the username color changed to the correct color. You can also double check your usergroup options in your ACP. There are three check boxes with options:

Users automatically added when posting
Add/Update new users
Delete/Update old users

I usually check all three after I have changed my posts settings for that group. If you want a new user, zero posts, to be thrown into a special group with a different color...say NEW USERS, I set Number of required posts to 0.

Give that a try and see if it works. There are so many possibilities. Maybe your server is a little slow in showing changes...I know mine is!

Yep, but I don't see a manage option for the Active users group...

That's because it's a default.

Create a new "Active users" group and apply the correct permissions. Then try my post up above. Hopefully that fixes the problem, but if it doesn't we'll keep trying to get it fixed.

Ok, it's done but no change is shown (no right colour and users in group = 0), maybe some cache clearing is needed to begin to work with new users? Another point is that when I click on managing the group the checkbox about updating is always unmarked in spite I always mark it

Hmmmm...hold tight for a bit and see if someone else here has a suggestion. I'm fresh out of good ideas for this problem.

By the way, those check boxes will always be unchecked when you go back to edit a group.

OK, this isn't a big issue anyway

Try not checking two of the boxes, but all of them.

I always checked all boxes (3), but now with the 999999 trick it seems it's working. Thanks!

NP always comes through with the solution.

Marking this issue as solved.
