Post subject: Ip_cms_layout_special (?)
Hi there, again.
I am trying to install the stable version and I get this message:
Quote:
An error occurred trying to update the database
Table 'wizzard.ip_cms_layout_special' doesn't exist

Anyone has an ideea how I can solve this?

Try some maintenance.

The above message appears while installing the IP. The board is not installed. Appears as soon as the configuration page is completed and pressing install button at the bottom.

Fresh install on the server.

Fresh install on server - so is that fresh install just in the home directory? Are you installing into a database that already exists (that has tables in)? Just try making another database, so you're sure you're starting clean. If by stable version you mean ip_20080108_11015, then this installs without any problems provided you follow the instructions carefully and do not try and use an install script on an existing database.

Yes, the stable version is ip_20080108_11015m.
Yes, fresh install on a clean database and on root directory.
No, apparently it doesn't work the way you are saying, yet I have to agree that the first 3 installation made on similar servers were completed without a problem and the IP boards are running fine on them.

Doh! cms_layout_special is not a standard IP table in the current official stable release ip_20080108_11015 - it is installed in the experimental versions: ip_20070919_11520 and ip_20080205_111025. It is still unusual that you have this problem, because the tables are created in the corresponding install scripts - it thus appears that you have mixed up different IP versions, perhaps through mis-naming of directories. Suggest you try sticking to just the official stable release for now.

You might have a good point as I remember that I've attempted first to install (and test) the 111025 version. It might have been left something behind when cleaning the install directory on the server. Thanks.
