I've had a good search about the site and i can't find this mod specifically for black pearl, could someone point me in the right direction please,

I'm currently using phpbb3.0.6 and black pearl 1.0.6

Hi MadTaffy,

usually you would use the SubSilver2 edits to modify Black Pearl because it is based on that one, some edits may be different or hard to find because they are in a different file in subsilver2 or only part of the code is the same (the partial find)

a good way to go may be .. first see if you can find all edits, post a question about what you can not find before doing the edits

Edit: Ooooh and make sure before you start to make a clean copy of the UNeditted files so it s easy to go back if all else fails

Thanks i will have a look and see what "quick reply" mods are available for subsilver2 and go from there, hopefully the edits won't be too complicated, TBH it surprised me that there wasn't a quick reply option available already installed, thought it would be something that is the norm on most boards!

phpBB 3.0.6 already includes Quick Reply... you just need to enable Quick Reply in ACP on per forum basis.

If you are using latest Black Pearl version you will then see Quick Reply box.

i m not gonna sum up why it s gonna take me some time to do that but i do see good reason for the "ASAP" because even on a dead test board i now have to delete a few registrations (both active and inactive accounts) on a daily base (i can t help wondering how they found me and why they bother)

I thought from 3.0.5 to 3.0.6 is the quickreply only deactivated?
Anyway: If any people from here got a same problem, just go into you mysql-db.
Type there/execute:

Now it's all activated in your whole forum for standard.
Pay attention for the prefix "phpbb" IF your forumtable got another name.
