Re: How Many Themes (Styles) Do You Use?
I think it would be nice to release a group of styles a bit subsilver-like (or IPB), if you know what I mean...
Thanks Vortex,
That is exactly what I'm getting at - IP doesn't need 100's of useless themes like those that were made for phpBB, but it does need more different quality groups. And if those groups are added to ColorizeIt, then people can create their own colours per group.
I totally agree about this... of course not 100's, but 10's would be possible
Most of phpBB old themes are just color variations, I know, but there are a lot of nice and original themes out there. The thing I wanted to focus on in my previous post was "simplicity". As said, released IP themes till now are beautiful but very complex, some variation could be good

The next question is: Do the themes need to be part of a Mother Group, much like MG_Themes; because if people only use 1 or 2 themes, then space-saving can be ignored as that does tend to complicate the creation of new groups, and maybe that's why there is not an abundancy of available IP themes.?
Dunno! I'm still working on it.
Myself, I wouldn't care much about space... IP is already a quite big board, if you use it you are supposed to have a quite large amount of webhosting space. I don't think it's easy to keep Icy on a free hosting... but maybe I am wrong in this consideration.

Aphrodite Text is a really simple template.
In any case it is not difficult creating a template for IP... it just requires time.
Anyone who has sufficient free time, can start editing CSS and CFG to create a simple theme.

I'm not into simple themes - and time is something I have plenty of.

I would like to have a simple one too But I think I can do it.
A clean and simple one would help other users to clone it and change little things

2 at the most because of modifying them. Just when I think I found the 2 I like, someone ends up making another dark style theme that grabs my attention and causes me to change 1 of the 2 LOL.. Black Pearl and X-Treme blue are hard to beat for dark style lovers like me ATM. Though I highly doubt BP will ever get replaced unless MG throws in some different png's on another black style to get me to change LOL

Eeeeeeek!
I've spilled the beans to the enemy - and let them in on one of Icy Phoenix's most guarded themes.
Thanks for the compliments. It'll probably be real bitch to convert to phpBB3 though.

Hehehehe!
Your buttering me up is not going to get you anywhere in the hope that I may be coerced into making phpBB3 themes.
I don't know if it's me or phpBB3 - But one of us don't like the other when it comes down to likable or favourite Forum software.
I blame phpBB3 - - - - - - - - - -

Re: How Many Themes (Styles) Do You Use?
I voted 1, as I'm removing the extra ones I add now, because, I use Google Ad sense, and can't cumise it for several themes, So I'm going to just use one which gose so I can make my ads look neat on my pages.
