try to read this:

Sometimes I wonder... why you don't trust me?

As I said in the Bugs Tracking topic, I've removed the Global Blocks for Home Page and Custom Pages from Permission, but I added the switch in the Page Management
cms

So, if your home page has ID=1 you can access the Page Management for that page by clicking this link:

http://www.yoursite.com/cms.php?mode=layouts&l_id=1&action=edit

Then you have the possibility to enable/disable Global Blocks for each page created using the CMS.

cms_page_edit

Can you please try and confirm? You don't need to replace index.php.

you are right, with aphrodite style you haven't this switch:
cms_page_edit

and you have this (but doesn't work):
homepage

this is a little template bug!

I suggest to custom your page with mg_styles! 8) 8) 8)

Yes, because in the patch there are only files for MG_THEMES. You can copy cms*.tpl files from MG_THEMES to CA_APHRODITE since they are identical. But do not do it for other template files.
