How Many MySQL Database Do I Need?

Subject: How Many MySQL Database Do I Need?
Hi, there!

My English is not good. I love this IcyPhoenix forum, and I'd like to be able to set up one of this.
I have a free hosting (Hostinger), 2 MySQL databases, but you say:

Before trying to install Icy Phoenix make sure you have the following STRICTLY NEEDED requirements:

At least 20 MB of free space in the folder you would like to install the package.
Web server with PHP (5 or higher) installed and running (works best on Linux + Apache).
MySQL (5 or higher) database with at least 5MB of free space (of course the space needed depends on how big your site will be... 5MB is enough for a basic empty setup).
Ability to set CHMOD permissions.

I have not money to pay a hosting, so if you know another free hosting that have this conditions, I will appreciate you share it with me.

Thank you in advance, God bless you!

Hi,

You only need one database to install Icy Phoenix, and if the space you have with your free hosting is not big enough to install it and run it properly (Room to grow) then you will more than likely have to take paid hosting.

Not many, if ANY free hosts give you enough free room to run things like Icy Phoenix - That's how they make their money - And usually with the free space - You have to accept that they will run their OWN advertisements on YOUR site for which they get paid for.

Nothing is for free really...

You're right, dear friend.. Thanks for answer so quickly!

Well... Surely I should think about to pay a hosting, but... For the moment, maybe I could try to set the forum to prove, right?

Then, what is the first step?

In the icyphoenix/docs folder you will find readme_english.html - just click on it.

I don't think it's been translated to Mexican?

Don't CHMOD anything to 777 unless you have errors as most servers today set the permissions automatically for the folders etc.

Several months ago I dowloaded a package of this forum following some instructions that I couldn't see at this time... So I've not downloaded any yet, I could't find the download link.

what about this page? https://www.arvixe.com/Icy_Phoenix_hosting

Correct! What you want is in "Release". The latest is 2.2 (fresh out of the oven!) Though it doesn't really matter – the other links will redirect to the latest version. We only keep them around to not break people linking to them :-).
