Well if you re comming from the portal page click EDIT THIS PAGE >> the EDIT image in front of the welcome file >> click SUBMIT to get to page 2 of 2 and voilla/bingo??? :wink:

If I remember, the text is in some language file ... maybe lang_blocks.

Well, that's i know allready but i can't edit the text itself "welcome to icy phoenix".
Is that like a template what i can't edit, maybe only in the php file directly?
It's still all so strange to me... -.-"

Ok got it what i wanted. I thought it's changable in the ACP but unfortunely not.
It's in templates/default/blocks/welcome_block.tpl

Well I've tried this at an old local install and I must admit at first it looked weird so I went back in and removed all the slashes it seemed to have created (I don't know why it did that)...

anyway after the second edit it now say welcome to YOUR icy phoenix

maybe Informpro's idea is better and more direct .... don't forget I m not an icyboard user :oops:

You may also create a temp admin account and PM me the info to log in if you like :wink:

@ joshua203 well, maybe u got an old version. At me it's not works. It displays on the second edit site: Keine weitere Block Variable zum konfigurieren gefunden, klicke auf "Absenden" um diesen Block zu speichern.
So, whatever it's solved.

But one off-topic question: How can i change the ajax-chat? Obviously it's a shoutbox in two different ways: Main chat and a small shoutbox.
And i miss my old Ajax-Chat 0.8.3 from bluimp.net - so how i can implement the ajax-chat or at least how i can edit the allready implemented chat?
That's only the last opinion i got.
Icy phoenix is really cool and a nice mindbreaker.
My head is burning and my brain exploding. Sooo much too learn. ;)

That was the second argument I used to convince him to give Icy a chance for his wish to try something new :wink:

anyway I noticed he made an account at TheSteffen's site now and also made his first post there too :LOL:

Batman came from BB 3 thats something similar. and i had to do the conversion from phpBB2 to IP for him

And before i forget: Josh and me got a smalltalk about how to edit the welcome message. *ahem* well, i guess i just delete the second message who could be changed.
Maybe it's a "tip" given to mighty to show only one "welcome box" which is changable!?

I think these blocks are meant as nice preset examples for you to get and idea and modify, just try to not delete that fast and disable them instead if you think you don't want them ..so you can change them later with a different function and re-enable? ;)
