Re: Icy Phoenix 1.2.24.51 RC 2
your error is stating that the database password/username is not correct...
normally it is the password...
if this is a fresh install delete the database in cpanel (if that is what you are using) and redo it...
the username/password normally on a shared host is what ever you use to get into your cpanel.. so you can always check that first...
unless you added a password for a new user on that database...
edit Lopalong posted just before me... so if nothing works as he said contact your host
____________ Mods and themes for Icy Phoenix 1.3
IcyPhoenix UK is off-line permanently due to lack of time to update mods.
if anyone is interested in my templates I will upgrade them to Icy 2.0.

Glad you fixed it, because the one thing that passwords can't have is non standard alpha-numeric characters in them.
Though it can have *

I think that some of the RC1 styles are compatible with RC2.
I also wanna' ask this : I'm interested in one style: Milky Way. I have RC2. Do yo know if this style is compatible with RC2? I tried to upload it in the templates folder, but it doesn't work.

Milky Way * is a nested theme and part of the icy_phoenix themes and the files need to be uploaded to /templates/icy_phoenix, and the style folder to templates/icy_phoenix/images/
Don't use the theme_info.cfg to overwrite the existing one in /templates/icy_phoenix.

Re: Icy Phoenix 1.2.24.51 RC 2
Hi !
I have noticed that the translations for Icy RC2, specifically in the spanish translation (which I use) are missing 2 files in the folder install>language>lang_spanish (index.html and lang_install.php, index file doesn't matter, it can be copied of another folder).
I am currently making a translation, I hope I do not take a long time.
Greetings!!

Alejandro.
That files aren´t important.
if you upload lang_spanish files before install you can choose spanish language right away.
even the install runs in spanish then

Mmm...
I know that I can use another language after install of IP, but when the install is running I can't see the page in spanish, I only see the images without text and I get an error message on the top: Warning: include(language/lang_spanish/lang_install.php) [function.include]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in C:\Archivos de programa\AppServ\www\afm\install\install.php on line 145
Warning: include() [function.include]: Failed opening 'language/lang_spanish/lang_install.php' for inclusion (include_path='.;C:\php5\pear') in C:\Archivos de programa\AppServ\www\afm\install\install.php on line 145
For me isn't a problem, but probably for other users that doesn't know much of this, it will be dificult.
Maybe I am complicating myself, but ...
Greetings!!

I had the same problem, but i just rename the lang_english folder to lang_spanish..
I tried to upload it in the templates folder, but it doesn't work.

MMM, i don't understand so much. First i extract the compressed file and i get a folder called "icy_phoenix" . I just upload it to templates. I understand that it isn't correct, but so, where should i upload that folder? Should i upload to templates/icy_phoenix? If this is correct, the templates folder should result templates/icy_phoenix/icy phoenix, or not?
Thanks
